Deardoff finishes strong on the links

Dalton Deardorff (Delone Catholic), a sophomore golfer from Delone Catholic finished his fall season with his lowest round of the year shooting at +2 (73) and earned medalist honors as he led Marywood to a win in the Cyclone Invitational hosted by Centenary College.

Deardorff finished the season with an 80.9 average which was the third-best on the team. Marywood starts their spring season at the end of February.

Roy earns high honors

Shippensburg redshirt-junior forward Derrick Roy (Spring Grove) spent the 2012 season recovering from a leg injury. He made quite a return. He finished the 2013 season with team highs in goals (11), points (26) and shots (64).

Roy’s impressive season resulted in being named to the Daktronics All-Atlantic Region Men’s Soccer Second Team as well as the All-PSAC Men’s Soccer Second Team. 11 goasl 4 assists 26 poitns 4 game winners 2 -for-2 penalty kicks

Shaffer caps season with accolades

Gettysburg College senior Tyler Shaffer (Biglerville), was named to the All-Centennial Conference Second Team for the third straight year after a stiller senior campaign.

Shaffer finished his career with 11 goals, nine assists and 31 points.

Vogan leads Marrywood and captures CSAC honors

Marywood sophomore Kimberly Vogan (South Western) earned All-CSAC Honorable Mention honors after being the Pacers leading scorer during the regular season with five goals and an assist. She had three game-winning goals and started all 18 games, mostly at center-back.

Her three game-winning goals were a team-high as were her 30 shots on goal.

Mondorff Dominates

Pitt-Johnstown freshman Allie Mondorff (Delone Catholic) earned First-Team All-PSAC East honors after a record-setting freshman season.

Mondorff finished the season with 45 kills, 39 service aces and a school record 1,329 assists. She helped lead the Mountain Cats to a 26-11 record and a trip to the Atlantic Region Tournament before they fell to Shippensburg and former Delone teammate Faith Athey.

Block domination

Shippensburg sophomore Faith Athey (Delone Catholic) was named to the All-PSAC Eastern Division. She finished third in the PSAC in blocks with 111 and led the team in total blocks with 141.

Athey also had 212 kills as she helped lead the Raiders to a 29-10 record and a trip to their first ever NCAA Tournament win over Pitt-Johnstown.
