Hanover-area players on spots on all-state teams

The PIAA All-State softball teams were announced this week and several of Hanover-area's finest received recognition for the stellar campaigns they had this year.

Spring Grove's Hayley Norton (sophomore) was the lone representative on the Class AAAA first team. New Oxford's Sara Groft (senior) was named to the second team.

Bermudian Springs freshman Jackie Faircloth was the area's lone representative for Class AAA as she earned second team status.

The area was well represented in Class AA as Delone had three players getting the nod. Squirette third baseman Deanna Laughman was the lone member to earn first team status, but teammates Cassie Rickrode (freshman) and Shelbee Holcomb (freshman) both made second team.  Hanover's Sara Durika (freshman) earned honorable mention.
