Green's RBI gives St. Mary's the win


Baseball

  • Luke Green (Delone Catholic) St Mary's (MD): The second baseman went 2-for-3 with a run scored, an RBI and a walk in St. Mary's 7-6 win over Widener. His RBI was the game winner as he walked in the winning run. In game two, Green went 0-for-2 in a 4-1 loss. Green is currently hitting .357 on the season with 3 RBI.
  • Luke Rohrbaugh (Spring Grove) Messiah: Went 0-for-2 in a 6-4 loss to Bridgewater.

Softball

  • Caroline Brehm (New Oxford) McDaniel: After both of McDaniel's games on Saturday were rained out, Brehm started both games of a doubleheader at the Triangle Classic in Raleigh, NC. In game one she suffered a hard luck loss after pitching a complete game and giving up five hits and one earned run. She walked one and struck out eight.  In game two, she pitched 2.1 innings giving up one hit, walking two and striking out two in a no decision
  • Stacey Armacost (South Western) McDaniel: Armacost played right field in game one for the Green Terror. She went 0-for-1 with a K and two walks. In game two she relieved Brehm and suffered the loss as she pitched 3.2 innings, giving up 9 hits and 5 runs on 4 BB and 3 K.
  • Amy Baumgardner (South Western) McDaniel: In game one she went 0-for-3 with a walk and was caught stealing. In game two she went 0-for-1 in a 5-4 loss to Salem.
