College roll call: Antonelli seeing quality action for Lycoming

For the week of 1/6-1/13 Girls' Basketball

  • Julia Antonelli (New Oxford) Lycoming: Scored 11 points in 32 minutes of play. Also added eight rebounds, three assists, a block and two steals in a two-point win over Stevenson. Lycoming is now 3-11 on the year.
  • Maria Photiades- (Delone Catholic), Juniata: Scored three points and dished out three assists in a loss to Catholic. Had eight points, two rebounds, three assists, and two steals in a win against Drew. Juniata is now 11-4.
  • Sierra Moore- (Delone Catholic), Duke: Scored four points and had one rebound in a win against Boston College. Had five points, two rebounds and an assist in a win over Clemson.  Chipped in one point and one rebound in a win over Wake Forest. Duke now sits at a perfect 15-0.
  • Abbey Rhodes- (Hanover), York: Saw just one minute of action total in three games this week. York went 1-2 on the week. The Spartans sit at 12-3.
  • Paige Dennison- (Bermudian Springs), Juniata: Scored five points with a rebound and a steal in a loss to Catholic. Scored six points and had two rebounds and a steal.
  • Sierra Schimizzi- (New Oxford), Messiah: Played three minutes and had an assist in a win vs Stevenson. Played two minutes in a win against Arcadia. Messiah is now 14-1.
  • Codi McMaster- (Spring Grove), McDaniel:  Finished with eight points, five rebounds, two assists, and three steals in a loss to Haverford.  Chipped in three points and three rebounds with one steal in a loss to Swarthmore. Added six points, five rebounds, three steals, an assist and a block in a win over Ursinus.
  • Cari McMaster- (Spring Grove), Gettysburg: Scored 12 points, three assists in win over Bryn Mawr. Gettysburg is now 9-5 on the year.
  • Ashlee Yealy- (Hanover), Wilson: Scored four points and grabbed four rebounds, had a block and a steal in a loss to Cazenovia. Scored 15 poitns and pulled down seven boards in loss to Penn State Abington.
  •  Karah Fissel- (Biglerville), Penn State Altoona: Had one rebound in a loss to Penn State Behrend.
Boys Basketball
  • Andre Marshall- (New Oxford), Albright:  Had a rebound and two blocks in a win over Hood. Scored a season-high 14 points in 13 minutes and had a block and a steal in a 77-67 loss to Lebanon Valley. Albright is now 12-3 overall. 
  • Dontez Reid- (Gettysburg), Penn State Berks: Had five points, a rebound, two assists and two steals in a win over Keuka College. Had seven points, six rebounds, four assists and a steal in a win over SUNY Cobleskill.
  • Mark Hockenbery (South Wester), Westminster College: Scored six points and had nine rebounds in win over Geneva. 
  • Pete Yingst- (Hanover), Dickinson: Finished with a rebound and an assist in a win over Swarthmore. Dickinson is now 11-4 on the season.
  • Ben Connor- (Hanover), Eastern:  Finished with three points and three rebounds in a loss to Misericordia. Scored seven points and grabbed four boards in a win over Kings. Eastern is 3-12 on the season.
  • Carson Miller (New Oxford), Elms: Scored four points, grabbed four boards and blocked three shots in a win over Lesley. Scored four points, grabbed two boards, an assist, and a steal in a win over Mitchell. Scored six points, had three rebounds, an assist and two steals in a win over Wheelock. Elms is now 5-7 on the season.
Wrestling
  • Trevor Baez-Hernandez- (Biglerville), York: Pinned Xander Straughter from Case Western Reserve in 1:13.
  • Neal Grudi- (Spring Grove), Shippensburg: Did not wrestle in win against Seton Hill.
  • Cameron Throckmorton (South Western), Shippensburg: Did not wrestle in win against Seton Hill.
Grils' Swimming
  • Casey McCole (South Western), McDaniel: Finished sixth in the 200 free against Elizabethtown.
  • Kristen Zartman (South Western), Lebanon Valley College: Finished fourth in 200 free, second in the 100 free, and her relay team finished fifth in the 200 free relay in a loss to Misericordia. Finished third in the 200 free, and the 400 free. Her relay team finished second in the 200 free relay in loss to Lycoming College.
  • Charity Brain (South Western), Albright: Her relay team finished fourth in the 200 medley, sixth in the 50 free, fourth in the 100 back in a tri-meet with King's and Messiah.
  • Whitney Boeckel (Spring Grove), Albright: Finished second in the 200 free, 500 free, and her 200 free relay team finished second in a tri-meet with King's and Messiah.
  • Allysha Lockner (New Oxford), Bridgewater (VA): Her 200 medley relay team finished third and she finished third in the 200 free relay in a win over Hollins. Her 400 free relay team finished third in a loss to Washington and Lee
  • Nicole Craver (Spring Grove), Goucher: Finished second in the 400 yard IM, second in the 100 free, and third in the 100 breast in a tri-meet against Drew and U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.
Boys Swimming
  •  Justin Beegle (Gettysburg), Emory: His 200 medley relay team came in second. He came in second in the 100 and 200 breast in a four point loss to the University of Tampa.
Girls Indoor Track and Field:
  • Anna Gilbert (Bermudian Springs), Immaculata: Finished ninth in the 800 meter run and sixth in the 4x400 meter relay.
