Local high school teacher added to Hall of Fame


Susquehannock High School science teacher Jennie Bonitz has received some distinction for her digs in college.

A Millersville University alumni, she was an offensive and defensive playmaker for the Marauder volleyball team. The 2007 graduate had set the Millersville career record for digs — and held it for a decade. She completed her career ranked second in career kills with 1,208.

For these merits, Bonitz has been selected for the Millersville University Athletic Hall of Fame. She is one of only two four-time All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East Division First Team selections in the university's history.
