Penn Manor hoping to put 2015 in rearview

Last year’s anticipated rebuilding season came and went, but could still lead to better fortunes for this year’s Comets.
Mobile quarterback Grant Gale returns for his senior season with a year of experience, and 500-plus rushing yards, under his belt. That experience also applies to incoming junior Alex Scheivert, who likewise garnered playing time under center last season. Regardless who takes the snaps in 2016, however, neither will have sturdy ball-carriers Carter Kinser or Jamal McCaskell, both of whom graduated, to rely upon in Penn Manor’s backfield.
Instead, look for halfback Theoren McElheny to take some of the load off Gale, as a steady ground game and a second year of learning Brubaker’s sophisticated defense are the best bets for a Penn Manor squad hoping to return to form.
