H.S. BASKETBALL: Six area players named to Sideling Hill League first teams

Three boys and three girls from the area were honored with all-star selections to the Sideling Hill League's First Teams.

Southern Fulton led the way with Connor Litton and Dylan Gordon earning first-team nods on the boys side, and Olivia Mottern getting the honor for the girls. Indian coach Kent Hendershot was named the boys basketball coach of the year, and Trent Rider was also a second-team selection.

McConnellsburg's boys and girls leading scorers, Chase Novak and Bronwyne Mellott, were both named to the first team, and Melissa Zeger earned a top spot for Fannett-Metal.

The Tigers also produced the area's only other second-team selection, as Mikell McGee earned the honor for the boys.

Forbes Road's only all-star nod went to Braylin Hohman, who was an honorable mention on the girls team.
