A huge third inning proved to be enough to lead IMRS to the American Division title of the Chambersburg Men's Slow Pitch Softball League on Wednesday night at Memorial Park.
IMRS, which went 3-0 in the playoffs, scored 12 runs in the third to take a big lead over regular-season champion Moose 842, and went on to win 24-11 in seven innings.
IMRS (Industrial Maintenance Repair Services), sponsored by owner Darryle Lawson, finished the season with a 19-5 record. Moose finished 20-6.
Belting home runs for IMRS were Jeff Boushell, Andrew Burke, Austin McNew and Bill Boyer.
McNew was 3-for-3, while Andrew Burke, Aaron Burke, Boushell and Boyer were each 3-for-4 and Jeremy Barnes was 2-for-3.
For Moose, Chip Comer tripled and Nick Bowling and Chris Picking each hit a double.
In Tuesday's National Division final, GQ Creations edged Olympian Athletics 21-20 to go 3-0 in the playoffs and win the championship.
