Although sometimes overlooked because of the number of outstanding pitchers the YAIAA has had recently, West York ace Paige Sacripont had a brilliant career in her own right.

This season the senior posted a 15-5 record with 10 shutouts. She had 154 strikeouts and allowed only 14 runs in 109 innings. She is not a bad hitter either, as her .393 average and .500 on base percentage indicates.

Although the Bulldogs lost to Twin Valley in District 3 Class AAA play, Sacripont surpassed 500 strikeouts during that game.

All of these accomplishments were for a West York team that won its division with a 12-1 league mark. It is no wonder that she was named the York Daily Record/Sunday News Division III Player of the Year, which gave us a reason to ask her some questions.
