Marple Newtown's Rylee Power took fifth place at the Central League Singles Tournament Saturday.
Power was the top Delco finisher in the tournament. She outlasted Garnet Valley's Emma Blake in two sets, 6-2, 6-3.
Power is one of six players to automatically qualify for the District One tourney, which begins next Friday at Legacy Tennis Center in Philadelphia.
Jessica Lin of Radnor was victorious in the seventh-place match with a 6-4, 6-0 decision over Garnet Valley's Stella Chen.
Robyn Ferraro of Conestoga defeated Simone Burde for the championship in straight sets, 7-5, 6-4.
In nonleague action:
Agnes Irwin 7, Shipley 0: Catie Burkhart battled for three sets to win the Owls' No. 3 singles match, 6-2, 4-6, 10-7 (super-tiebreaker). AIS's other singles players, No. 1 Ryshena Providence and No. 2 Camile Smukler, were victorious.
In doubles action, the tandems of Charlotte Buck and Callie Burkhart, Carloine Green and Emma Hill, Chase Robinson and Dorrie Greenfield, and Kate Wahl and Lei Lei Liu, all claimed wins to help the Owls (5-0) stay perfect on the season.
