Photos: New Freedom's Jarace Walker, 13, already a basketball phenom

Jarace Walker demonstrates a one-handed dunk last month at Susquehannock High School. The 6-foot-2 seventh-grade student at Southern Middle School is a starter for the ninth-grade team. He's also rated as one of the top AAU players in the nation for his age. But will he bolt to play for a private high school and basketball power in Maryland? "I want him to do what's best for him. Of course, we'd love for him to stay in our program," said Susquehannock varsity coach John Zerfing. The coach pointed out this comparison: Spring Grove's Eli Brooks "has shown you can tour the AAU circuit, get college looks and stay close to home and raise your school and basketball program to levels we haven't seen before."
