It's been a roller-coaster ride for the Cedar Crest boys' basketball team this season, but right now the Falcons are riding high.
Cedar Crest collected its fourth straight victory Friday night, topping Conestoga Valley 49-36 in a Section One-Two crossover matchup in Witmer. The win makes the Falcons 9-7 overall and 6-5 in league play.
Crest, which opened the year 5-3 before losing four straight and now winning four in a row, led 11-6 after one and 22-14 at halftime before putting the game away in the third and taking a 39-25 advantage into the final period.
Killian Klopp struck for a game-high 18 points and four 3-pointers, while Evan Horn contributed 10 points.

Northern Lebanon 77, Pequea Valley 62: In Kinzers, the Vikings stayed hot by winning for the 10th time in 11 games and their fifth straight, improving to 13-4 overall and 8-3 in Section Three. Northern Lebanon hit on 12 3-pointers in the win, six of which came from Sam Light (32 points), who had 29 or more points for the fifth time in six games.
The Vikings scored 55 points in the first half and led by 26 at the break thanks in part to a 30-9 run through the second quarter. Pat Stevens supported Light with 20 points of his own, and Richard Iwuagwu contributed 13 and Isaac Ray had 10.
Palmyra 54, Mechanicsburg 52: In Mechanicsburg, the Cougars improved to 11-5 overall and 6-4 within the Mid-Penn Keystone Division by holding off a late charge by the Wildcats. Trey Baker paced the Cougars with 15 points on the strength of five three-point baskets while Shaun Robinson chipped in an additional 13 points.
Manheim Central 58, Lebanon Catholic 47: On Assumption Hill in Lebanon, the Beavers were dealt an important loss as they continue to contend for the Section Four title. The Barons ran out to an 18-10 first-quarter lead, and after Catholic closed to within 38-36 by the start of the final period, Central was able to pull out the win in the closing minutes.
Anthony Pletz led the Beavers (12-4 overall, 7-4 L-L) with 13 points, while Alex Frattaroli added 12.
Columbia 65, Elco 61: In Columbia, the Raiders (4-13, 1-10) lost despite getting 25 from Austen Davis and 17 more out of Caleb Buchmoyer.
Donegal 64, Annville-Cleona 27: In Annville, the Little Dutchmen were no match for the Indians. A-C (4-13, 2-9) was led by Trenton Wizar's 14 points.
Dayspring Christian 55, New Covenant 44: The Flames dropped to 2-10 despite getting 28 points from Nate Dawson.
Red Lion Christian 78, Lebanon Christian 77: The Panthers lost for just the second time this season in a high-scoring affair that saw Jon Beiler scored 26 points and Phil Gibble added 18.
