Behind a perfect 5-0 record in the championship finals, Northern Lebanon walked away with the overall team point championship, racking up 92 points and outdistancing the hosts, who had 77. Palmyra was also in the event, taking seventh and crowning one champ.
Vikings Kody Kreiser (120 pounds), Caleb Blatt (132), Quinn Blatt (138), Evan Daub (152) and Ryan Kelliher (170) all won their weight classes, with Kelliher winning with a 40-second pin and Quinn Blatt taking the title by way of a fall in 3:12. Daub cruised 9-2 in his finals bout, while Kreiser (7-6 over Palmyra's Dale Hall) and Caleb Blatt (4-2) earned narrow victories en route to the gold medal.
Also, NL's Anthony Deyo and Holden Zeigler placed third at 285 and 145, respectively.
Due to a lack of wrestlers, four weight classes were contested through a round-robin format, and Palmyra's Evan Bogdan emerged as the winner at 113 pounds through that process.
