MORGAN LEHMAN, OH, Chambersburg -- Lehman was a big weapon at the net for the Trojans, leading to her selection as MPC Commonwealth Division Player of the Year ... The senior had a team-high 347 kills to go with 94 blocks and 203 digs ... She also had a strong jump serve, amassing 143 points with 56 aces ... Trojan coach Ty Frelin said, "Her all-around skills and her quickness off the floor made her a good player. If you looked at her you wouldn't think she was a strong hitter. But she had phenomenal timing and such a strong, quick swing." ... She was a P.O. second-team pick in 2008.

ERIN GARNS, S, Greencastle-Antrim -- Garns is the engine that makes the Blue Devil attack go ... The junior passed out 808 assists and was an underrated server, leading the team with 90 aces ... Her best match came vs. James Buchanan, when she had 31 assists, 23 service points

and 7 aces ... She is a 2-time P.O. and MPC first-team selection ... G-A coach Corry Eagler said, "She keeps getting better every year. She plays club volleyball year round and with her family, she is around volleyball all the time. It's in her blood. She just knows what to do when she steps on the court."

BRIANNE RICE, MH, Chambersburg -- It was Rice's steady play in the middle that made her a valuable asset for the Trojans ... "She is Miss Consistency," Chambersburg coach Ty Frelin said. "Unfortunately, because of her size, she was playing out of position a little bit in the middle. She's not real big, but she could jump. We knew what we'd get from her night in and night out. She was just very solid." ... Rice piled up 206 kills, 102 blocks, 161 digs, 141 service points and 20 aces, spelling out her all-around talents ... She was a MPC first-team all-star in 2009 and was P.O. honorable mention last year.

LIASHIRA RIVERA, MH, Chambersburg -- This promising freshman helped Chambersburg control play at the net ... "She has a lot of very raw talent for a young player and a lot of untapped potential," Trojan coach Ty Frelin said. "Hopefully that will continue to come out." ... Rivera finished with 207 kills, 104 blocks, 104 service points with 30 aces ... She led the team with a .377 kill percentage, displaying a ton of athleticism in the middle ... Frelin said, "By her being able to step in so early, we were able to move Morgan to the outside. That made us a stronger team." ... Rivera was an MPC second-team pick.

SARAH HARRYMAN, OH, James Buchanan -- Harryman made her presence felt all over the court for JB ... The senior was second in kills (255) and digs (302) and was very solid behind the service line with 238 points and 60 aces ... The 2-time P.O. and MPC first-team all-star finished with 11 double-digit kill matches ... Her best effort came vs. Trinity, when she had 16 kills, 20 digs, 15 points and 3 aces ...JB coach Erica Piper said, "She was our best all-around player. She was strong at the net and saw the court well. She was our team captain and team leader and was always looking for ways to improve her game."

TORYN QUIVERS, MH, James Buchanan -- Quivers took her play to another level at the net for the Rockets, providing an intimidating presence in the middle ... The junior had 270 kills, 105 blocks, 75 service points and 30 aces ... Her best match was a 24-kill, 5-block effort vs. Shippensburg ... Quivers finished with 10 double-digit kill matches ... JB coach Erica Piper said, "She had a big swing and was our go-to player out of the middle. She got us easy points when we needed them. She was very coachable and gained more confidence throughout the season." ... Quivers was a MPC first-team pick.

NAKITA GEARHART, MH, Greencastle-Antrim -- Gearhart, just a freshman, turned a potential weakness in the middle for the Blue Devils into a major strength... The MPC first-team selection racked up 210 kills, a team-high 44 blocks and had a .359 kill percentage ... Her top match was a 12-kill night vs. James Buchanan ... She is the younger sister of Kelsey ... G-A coach Corry Eagler said, "She was a true competitor. You could just see it on her face and as soon as the level of play went up, she stepped her game up. The good thing about Nakita is we run a lot of quick plays and she was always on time."

AMY ROSENBERRY, Lib., Shippensburg -- The Shippensburg libero was a defensive specialist for the Lady Hounds ... Ship uses a passing scale from 0 to 3, with 3 being the best, and Rosenberry averaged a 2.16 on serve receive and had 206 perfect digs, both very good numbers ... The senior finished with 345 digs ... She was an MPC Colonial Division second-team all-star and a P.O. second-teamer in 2008 ... Ship coach Bonnie Hand said, "Her dedication to the sport is phenomenal. She is always looking to better herself. She is always hustling and knows where to be on the court to make the plays."

SARAH KOLANOWSKI, MH, Mercersburg Academy -- Kolanowski provided the Blue Storm with some much-needed offensive firepower at the net ...For the year, the senior finished with 151 kills in just 59 sets and added just 45 blocks, 89 digs and 24 aces ... Kolanowski's best match came in a 3-1 win against Highland, when she racked up 19 kills, 7 digs and 4 aces ... She finished with 5 double-digit kill matches ... Mercersburg coach Kylie Johnson said, "Sarah was dominant at the net blocking and hitting. She also had a great jump serve and ended the season with solid stats." ...
