South Western High's Natalie Greenholt and Biglerville's Tricia Motter ended their YAIAA Girls Singles Championships on Monday in different varieties, but both girls' end results were the same.
The YAIAA guarantees Classes AA and AAA three spots each in the District 3 Singles Championships with two alternates who may be called to play if others drop out.
Greenholt lost her third-place matchup in the Class AAA bracket against West York's Megan Blair, 6-1, 6-4.
Motter, the Lady Canners' top singles player, won her fifth-place match at South Western in the Class AA bracket.
Greenholt is the Class AAA bracket's top alternate in singles, and Motter is the Class AA bracket's second alternate in the district tournament.

"My serve was really on, and I didn't slice it hardly at all. I moved (the ball) side to side and hit it with pretty much all I had, and it stayed in," Motter said.
Her 6-2, 6-1 victory over York Suburban's Katie O'Donnell earned Motter the spot as an alternate.
"I will be really excited. I'm looking forward to doubles a lot, but if I got to play singles in districts, it would be fun," Motter said.
Top-seeded Jennifer Learmonth of Central York and Ava Spoden of York Catholic won the Class AAA and Class AA brackets, respectively.
"My ground strokes and my ability to not double-fault really helped," Learmonth said.
Learmonth beat Dallastown's Melissa Plowman 6-1, 6-1 and Spoden beat teammate Sarah Wargo 6-1,
The Lady Panther faced Plowman in the regular season, which Learmonth said helped prepare her for Monday's match.
"I got a preview of all of her strokes, and got to see her weaknesses and strengths," Learmonth said.
"Her forehand, she hits really hard down the line and cross-court. I just had to hustle to get to the balls. It made for some tough points," Learmonth said.
Postseason tennis continues today as the YAIAA first and second rounds of doubles play begins at Dallastown for Class AAA and South Western for Class AA.
Like the singles tournament, the top three finishers in each bracket earn spots in the district tournament, and two more teams in each class will become alternates.
Motter will team up with Lady Canner teammate Ale Heller and Greenholt will join South Western's Kelsey Utz for doubles play.
"I think (this tournament) will make (the doubles tournament) better. I think I'll have a lot more enthusiasm and have a lot more to look forward to," Motter said.
As for Greenholt, the Lady Mustang senior is making sure she doesn't get ahead of herself.
"We just want to take it one game at a time, and do the best we can," Greenholt said.
