The girls won 93-77 for their sixth victory in a row. The boys lost a tough decision, 90-80.
The Chambersburg girls (7-3, 4-2 MPC Commonwealth) got individual wins from Kelly Hamilton (50 freestyle, 100 backstroke), Autumn Bowers (200 freestyle, 100 freestyle), Chelsy Michael (100 butterfly) and Olivia Beckner (400 freestyle). They also captured the 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay.
Trojan girls coach Donnie Miller said, "The meet was a lot closer than the score indicates. There were a lot of close races. The seniors knew it was their last dual meet because Saturday's meet was already canceled. They really stepped up. Autumn Bowers had a wonderful meet with two individual wins and two relay wins. She won a close race in the 100 freestyle. Chelsey Michael and Ali Pastor took first and second in the 100 butterfly. Teal Nitterhouse swam in events she doesn't usually swim in, and it was her birthday.
"Kelly Hamilton came back after being out with a bug and won two individual events and two relays. Our team overall showed that they wanted to compete and wanted to win. I was very proud of their approach and the way they swam today."
Saturday's meet at State College has been canceled because of the expected snowstorm.
