The Palmyra girls' cross country team didn't just grab its Keystone Division title Tuesday, it strangled it.

The Cougars had the first three runners cross the finish line and six of the first seven as they beat both Red Land and Mechanicsburg in a tri-meet in Palmyra. With the 17-47 and 15-55 victories, respectively, Palmyra finished a perfect 7-0 in the Keystone Division to claim the title.

Maria Turkis won the event in 20:21, beating teammates Olivia Farabaugh (20:39) and Miranda Salvo (20:50) to the finish line. After a Red Land runner crossed in fourth, Cougars Devin Strynkowski (21:21), Emily Bliemeister (21:24) and Katie Keck (21:27) finished fifth through seventh. Ashley Cypher (ninth, 21:47) gave Palmyra seven finishers among the top 10.
