The Mercersburg Academy girls cross country team took 20th out of 28 teams in its season opener ... Mackenzie Riford led the Blue Storm in 41st place in a time of 20:48.41 ... She was followed by Abby Colby (21:22.90), while Julia Simons (22:24.90) broke her personal-best time by 35 seconds ... Sarah Duda and Liza Stalfort rounded out the top 5 for Mercersburg ... Blue Storm coach Betsy Willis said, "I am excited about the strong start this fall. We are working hard and looking forward to a great season."
