Blaire Lauthers led the Tigers (9-11, 4-9 SHL) with 16 points ... Coral Parson was F-M's top rebounder with 11 and led in assists with 2 ... Fannett-Metal coach Jen Lauthers said, "We dug a really deep hole in the first quarter. We had to work hard in the second quarter to come out of it. In the third quarter we stayed right with them, and then in the fourth quarter it seemed like every time we made a run, we'd turn the ball over. The Weyant girl (Alana Weyant, 19 points) is a real nice player. She was practically unstoppable in the first half." ... "They hit some threes early and we didn't adjust," McConnellsburg coach Dave Garland said. "We put on a run, but it was too much." ... The Hornets (4-15, 1-12 SHL), who got 18 points from Courtney Swauger and 17 from Katie Emerick, led 33-13 at halftime ... The Spartans were led by Casey Pollock with 11 points, Valerie Green with 9 points and Nikki Fleming with 6 rebounds and 5 steals.

A sloppy third quarter doomed Southern Fulton in a loss to Tussey Mountain, the top Class A team in District 5 ... The Titans (16-2, 12-1 SHL) led 32-26 at halftime before surging ahead with a 19-9 third quarter ... SF coach Mark Mellott said, "We had stretches where we played pretty good and we cut it to six at halftime. But the (halftime) layoff hurt us a lot more than Tussey." ... The Indians (11-6, 7-6 SHL) held Rachel Zimmerman (18 points per game) and Krista Swope to a combined 18 points, but Caitlin Foster scored an unexpected 19 points to pace Tussey ... Mellott said, "They have a nice team. You have to do everything right to beat them and we were a little short on that tonight." ... Lacey Beatty topped Southern Fulton with 14 points and Taylor Leasure tossed in 11.

She finished with 4 of Northern Bedford's 7 3-pointers and led the way with 15 points ... Forbes coach Kayla Knepper said, "She played JV and didn't even play until the second quarter. They drove by us in the last game so we played zone tonight and their outside shots hurt us." ... The Cardinals (6-13, 4-9 SHL) got 8 points from Kaili Hockensmith.
