The Chambersburg Trojan girls held a strong Central Dauphin team to 37 points, but couldn't provide enough offense to take advantage of it in a 37-23 Mid Penn Conference Commonwealth Division basketbal loss Thursday night at CASHS Field House.

The Lady Trojans held a one-point lead at halftime. But CD outscored Chambersburg by 11 in the third quarter and never looked back.

Trojan coach Anthony Rose said, "I thought we played well defensively. We played aggressively. We boxed out really well under the box and forced Central Dauphin to take some shots I'm sure they didn't want to settle for."

Cayla Salmon led Chambersburg (6-12, 4-10 MPC Commonwealth) with 11 points and 7 rebounds. Jade Flory contributed 4 assists.

Rose said, "Offensively, we just couldn't get the ball to drop. We left some scoring opportunities on the court."

For Central Dauphin (14-5, 11-3), Alyssa Thomas led with 16 points.

The game scheduled for Saturday at Hollidaysburg has been postponed because of the impending snowstorm.
