Fannett-Metal started out hot, cooled off in the middle of the game, then got back on track to defeat Chestnut Ridge by 15 Megan Dougherty led the Tigers (12-10, 5-9 SHL) with 16 points and Blaire Lauthers scored 14, Amanda Laye had 11 (plus 5 steals) and Melissa Zeger added 10 Zeger and Naomi Fields had 7 rebounds apiece F-M coach Jenny Lauthers said, "We did our best to give this one away. We had a 15-0 lead in the first quarter and then proceeded to forget how to score for the next six minutes. They kept chipping away in the second quarter and their shots started to fall. We were up 28-22 at the end of the first half. In the beginning of the third quarter they went up 29-28 and Blaire was on the bench with three fouls. In the fourth quarter we put on the press and finally started finding the basket again. We scored 23 points in the fourth quarter. I was pleased with that." The Lions (6-16, 0-14 SHL) were led by Mackenzie Feather with 20 points.
