Spartans coach Dave Garland said, "We built a nice lead and had them in foul trouble early in the second half. We were already in bonus before the end of the third quarter. We made just enough free throws (26-for-44) to win. At the end, when we absolutely had to make them, we did."
JB scored only five points in the second quarter and it came back to haunt the Rockets.
Buchanan coach Rick Cristofano said, "The second quarter killed us. We couldn't buy a basket. In the second half we went to a pressing defense and got close, but that was it."
Jessi Keefer led McConnellsburg (9-8) with 17 points and had eight rebounds. Fleming added 11 points, pulled down eight rebounds and had four assists. For JB (5-16), Cheyenne Carbaugh scored 11 points and had 13 rebounds and four assists.

"We had our bench play a lot and they played well together as well. We just want to keep it going." For Shalom (12-4, 9-0 MDCC), which shot 62% from the field, Tori Yoder scored 14 points and had 7 points, Lydia Harris put in 10 points and Lexi Poe led in rebounds (6) and assists (3).
