Peddie defeats Storm

MAPL meet

The Mercersburg Academy girls swim team lost 117-53 to Peddie and the boys team lost 132-38 The boys also swam vs. Fork Union Military Academy and lost 95-74 The Blue Storm girls got individual wins from Catherine Levins (100 breastroke, 1:07.42) and Ana Marie Bistrow (500 freestyle, 5:09.48) Kelly Hamilton (of Chambersburg) took second in the 100 backstroke (1:00.56) and helped the 200 medley relay team take second (1:50.93) For the boys, the strongest Mercersburg performances were by Sam Ciocco, second place in the 200 freestyle (147.06) and 500 freestyle (4:41.32), and Kevin Shivers (of Shippensburg) second place in the 100 butterfly (56.71) Against Fork Union, Ciocco took first in the 200 and 500 free events and Shivers won the butterfly.
