HAGERSTOWN, Md. - Josh Sanders led all scorers with 19 points, which put him over the 1,000-point mark for his career, as part of Cumberland Valley Christian's third win in a row.

The 51-39 Mason-Dixon Christian Conference victory over Grace Academy on Tuesday night puts the Blazers' record at 6-6 (2-5 MDCC).

Sanders, a junior point guard who has played since he was an eighth-grader, needed seven points to hit 1,000 and he secured them with ease.

"It was nice to see him get there," CV Christian coach Mike Sanders, his father, said.

The Blazers held Grace to just one free-throw attempt.

Conner Chapman was right behind Sanders, scoring a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds for CVC.

Mike Sanders said, "It was a good win for us because we've won three in a row. I'm very happy, although I did think we were a little sloppy - I'd like to see the boys take care of ball better."
