Trojans in 3 events
Two Chambersburg athletes qualified for the Pa. Indoor State Championships- which are being held Feb. 23 at Penn State - in 3 events last weekend as the Trojans competed in 3 different competitions In a pole vault meet at Dickinson College, Zeb Yoder soared to a personal indoor best of 14-0 to reach the state qualifying mark and place second; teammate Kyle Grove (12-6) was third Marshay Ryan had a fine day at the Lebanon Valley Invitational - she won the long jump (18-0) and the triple jump (37-11.5) to qualify for states in both events Ryan also placed second in the 55 and fourth in the 200 Tessa Swanger took fourth in the shot put For the boys at LVC, Jake Russo was fourth in the triple jump and Kendall Keepler placed seventh in the high jump In a distance running event at Prince George's County complex in Landover, Md., the Trojans' Courtney Group was the runner-up in the girls 1600 (5:25.21) and Natalie Holder was ninth in the 800 (2:24.31), both just barely missing the state qualifying standard.
