COLONIAL PARK - Central Dauphin, ranked No. 4 in the state in Class AAA, had no trouble handing Chambersburg its first loss of the season on Thursday night.
The Rams spanked the Trojans 49-18 in a Mid Penn Commonwealth Division wrestling match that was decided early.
With the match starting at 120 pounds, the Trojans (7-1, 3-1 MPC) absolutely had to get off to a good start vs. CD.
It didn't happen.
The Rams (3-0, 3-0 MPC) won three close bouts to get things started - Austin Camacci beat Garrett Kyner 6-2 at 120, Nicholas Ward topped David Rump 5-3 at 126 and Zach Bentz won 4-0 over David Law at 132 - then scored two pins to zip to a 15-0 lead.
After Garett Hammond notched a 33-second pin at 152 to give Chambersburg its first points, Central Dauphin won seven consecutive bouts, two by pin, two by major decision and one by technical fall, to lead 49-6.
The Trojans then closed out the meet with a pin by Colin Runshaw at 106 and a forfeit win by Tanner Shoap.
