DOVER - The Chambersburg Trojans started out fairly well, but eventually were outmatched by unbeaten Dover and lost, 57-29, in a non-league girls basketball game on Wednesday night.

The Trojans, who lost their fifth straight game, trailed 14-8 after one quarter. Dover then began to turn on the offense, aided by four 3-pointers, to lead by 14 at halftime.

Things did not improve for Chambersburg (3-6) in the second half, as the Eagles outscored the Trojans 23-9.

"We just haven't meshed well as a team yet," Chambersburg coach Jenny Schmutzler said. "I think the talent is there, but too many people are trying to do too many things as individuals. The teamwork just hasn't happened yet. We're going to work to do better."

Darra Walker led the Trojans with 10 points and Crystal Thomas added seven. Marshay Ryan had 10 rebounds and scored six points.

For Dover (8-0), Alayah Hall scored 17 points and Kara Funk added 14.
