All-Delco senior pitcher Bridget Newman brought her best stuff to the table against Ridley ace Leigh Ann Jenkins in a Central League clash Friday afternoon. Newman tossed a two-hit shutout with five strikeouts and no walks as Haverford claimed a 5-0 win.

Jenkins limited the Fords to three hits, though Haverford was able to strike for three runs in the top of the second and cruised behind Newman's excellent pitching. Heather Lazer's two-run single was the game's lone offensive highlight.

In other Central League action:

Marple Newtown 18, Strath Haven 1: Taylor Anderson enjoyed a huge day at the dish with four RBIs and a triple to lead the Tigers to a rout of the Panthers. Riley Power finished 3-for-5 with two RBIs, and Sarah Anderson legged out a triple.

Nicole Kelly pitched a five-inning complete game.

Garnet Valley 12, Penncrest 1: One home run wasn't good enough for shortstop Sam Tomasetti, so the sophomore slugger belted two as the Jaguars crushed the Lions in five innings. Tomasetti was 3-for-3 with four RBIs and Reva Alderman also belted a homer for GV (9-4, 9-5).

Ashley Moskowitz added a double and two ribbies.

Springfield 12, Harriton 1: Winning pitcher Tori DePietro (five strikeouts) fueled a 12-hit attack by going 3-for-3 with a double, a triple, three RBIs and two runs scored for the Central League-leading Cougars (14-1, 12-1).

Cara Matteo added two hits, including a double, and an RBI while Courtney Scarpato went 2-for-2 with a two-base knock, three ribbies and a pair of runs scored. Kaity Baumann also contributed two hits and two RBIs.

Radnor 19, Lower Merion 0: Amanda Davis and Brooke Nicander split pitching duties, with Nicander recording the win while allowing one hit over 21/3 innings.

Bari Margolis slugged a home run for the Raiders, while Katie Jordan and Brooke McClatchy each smacked doubles.

In the Inter-Ac League:

Episcopal Academy 10, Springside Chestnut Hill 0: Alex Viscusi continued her awesome season by pitching a five-hit shutout with seven strikeouts and no walks. At the plate she was 2-for-3 with a two-bagger.

Ariana Feliziani swung a hot bat for the Churchwomen (9-1, 6-0), finishing 3-for-3. Anne Toner slashed a double and was 2-for-3 with two RBIs.

In the Catholic League:

Cardinal O'Hara 28, West Catholic 0: Molly Rafferty and Nicole Bergamo combined for the three-inning no-hitter and eight strikeouts. Rafferty hit two doubles, and Alli Haley chipped in with one.

In the Tri-State Christian Conference:

Christian Academy 5, Atlantic Christian 0: The Crusaders broke the game open in the sixth when Maddi Dutton tripled to knock in a pair of runs. Carly Ryle went the distance from the circle for TCA (5-3).

In a nonleague game:

Agnes Irwin 9, Hill School 2: All-Delco Katie Wenger hurled an 11-strikeout gem, and Jenna Myers went 2-for-2 with a triple for the Owls (7-1, 5-1), who took advantage of four Hill School errors.

Carolyn Shipe cracked a double and Michala Maciolek had a triple.
