Archbishop Carroll added another well-deserved championship to its mantle Thursday.

The girls tennis team earned a 4-1 victory over Central High School to claim the District 12 championship.

Rachael Tygh and Stef Barkofski stayed undefeated with straight-set victories and No. 1 plater Mary Saint-Antoine also picked up a hard-fought win.

In doubles play, Yvonne Lewis and Anna Montastaero finished off the championship victory with a 6-4, 4-6, 6-1 win in the No. 2 match.

Academy Park 4, Girard College 1: Courtney Jenkins, the No. 1 player for the Knights, finished her senior season without losing a single set in dual-match play. Jenkins is a four-time Del Val singles champ and won the Del Val doubles title alongside Lattana Sithara, who also ended the year on a high note.

Academy Park enjoyed its best girls tennis season in program history with a 13-5 record.

Woodlynde School 3, J.M. Barrack Hebrew 2: Barrack performed very well in doubles action, as both tandems, Maya Shapira and Debbie Spivak and Reena Wolnerk and Gabrielle Meltzer, came away victorious.
