Chris Wallace unleashed a blast that hit the post and caromed into the net with 15 minutes remaining in regulation, giving Strath Haven all the offense it needed to slip past Conestoga, 1-0, in a Central League thriller.
Matt Eiel came up with 10 saves to win the goaltending duel for the Panthers (7-4 overall, 6-1 league).
In other Central League matches:
Penncrest 2, Haverford 1: Christian Miller headed in the Lions' first goal off a scramble in front and Sam Brown cashed in Jordan Hoyle's feed 12 minutes later, providing just enough cushion for Liam Thomas (16 saves) to hold off the Fords.
Sebastian Stelmach made 13 saves and Joe Cunningham set up Tom Leonard's late goal for Haverford, which had a restart just outside the box in the closing seconds but saw the final shot ricochet out of bounds.
Springfield 4, Upper Darby 1: The Cougars (4-8, 1-7) broke into the league win column thanks in large part to Nick Janelli's two goals and one assist, Mike Derzabek's four saves and solid defense by Jack Schott.
Radnor 1, Harriton 0: Gerardo Montiel set up Connor Mullaney for a first-half goal and Ryan Freedman made the lead stand up by stopping seven shots.
In the Del Val League:
Academy Park 4, Chichester 1: Eromon Asiokhia accounted for all the Knights' (4-8-0, 3-2-0) offense with a hat trick and an assist on Samuka Kaba's goal, and substitute goalkeeper Zuu Yealesea turned away seven of eight shots.
Austin Wilson scored for the Eagles.
In the Ches-Mont League:
Coatesville 2, Sun Valley 1: Brett Hollenbach's 10th goal of the season wasn't enough to keep the host Vanguards (7-5, 4-3) from falling, as Coatesville's Josiah O'Deans converted a penalty kick in the second overtime period.
In the Tri-State Christian Conference:
The Christian Academy 6, Calvary Christian 2: The Crusaders (9-1) wasted no time seizing command in their trip to New Jersey, storming out to a 5-1 first-half lead behind a hat trick and an assist by Evan Needs and a goal and a helper from his brother Robby Needs.
