Lauren Huggins was the hero for the Penncrest girls soccer team Saturday afternoon.

Huggins netted the game-winning goal in overtime to lift the Lions to a 2-1 triumph over Lower Merion.

Cassidy Morretti also found the back of the net for Penncrest.

In other Central League action:

Garnet Valley 1, Springfield 1: The Jaguars scored off a corner kick with 15 minutes to go in the second half, tying the game thanks to Jackie Sever.

Angela Tumelty got the Cougars on the board 15 minutes into the contest.

The goalies had their work cut out for them. Kate Ryan (Springfield) and Ashley Bufano (Garnet Valley) made 15 saves apiece.

Strath Haven 7, Upper Darby 0: The Panthers ( 8-1, 6-0) kept the good times rolling as seven players scored in the span of 22 minutes. They were All-Delcos Sophie Murphy and Kristen Miller, Ami Iannello, Maddie Forbes, Annike Kruse, Maddy Tannert-Schmidt and Jamie Kenney.

In nonleague play:

Agnes Irwin 3, Shipley 1: Sophomore Hannah Keating scored two goals including what proved to be the winner. Freshman Annie McConnon also tickled the twine while goalkeeper Julie Fryer finish with six saves for AIS.
