Chelsea Jones proved she knows how to give as well as receive, delivering 18 kills and dishing out 20 assists as Sun Valley rallied to defeat Octorara, 3-2, in a Ches-Mont League thriller.

Madison McCunney added 15 kills, Emily Stokarski contributed 22 assists and Jocelyn Romesburg chipped in seven kills to help the Vanguards pull out a 25-22, 22-25, 22-25, 25-20, 15-11 victory.

In nonleague matches:Cardinal O'Hara 3, Notre Dame 0: Gabby Napoleon was impressive at the net, collecting nine kills and a pair of blocks, Meghan Czapka contributed seven kills and eight digs, and Nicole Poissant set up 18 assists along with serving a pair of aces for the Lions (3-0).Sacred Heart 3, Academy Park 0: Sophomore Lauren Killroy registered 20 assists in helping the Lions roll in their season opener, 25-13, 25-12 and 25-12.
