With its best player and anchor in the post, Danny Brooks, heading toward graduation, the Lebanon Valley College men's basketball team has opening for a new man in the middle.

An opening Nate Dawson has his eye on someday filling.

The 6-foot-8 New Covenant Christian School center posted on his Twitter page on Thursday that he's headed to LVC to continue his academic and basketball careers.

Dawson will bring with him the ability to score in the post, something he did with regularity during his last two seasons with the Flames.

As a junior, Dawson averaged a county-best 26.5 points per game and approached those numbers again this past season, pumping in 25.4 points per contest.

LVC went 9-16 this past season and will say goodbye to five seniors, including Brooks, who averaged an even 20 points a game while also earning Academic All-America honors.
