William Penn found itself down 16 points in the third quarter in a hostile environment at Reading, but once again was able to come back for a dramatic 84-83 non-league victory.

Ramel Stephens and Tavon Parker scored 15 points each in the second half. Stephens finished with 18 and it was his three-point play that put the Bearcats ahead in the fourth period. Parker posted a game-high 25 and was the leader for coach Troy Sowers' group.

"We were down, but we just ramped up the defense. Everybody contributed," Sowers said. "It was a crazy high school basketball game. This was a game we needed. We haven't played a close game in a few weeks."

Derek Wilson had 11 and Oshajid Beard 10 for William Penn. The Red Knights had four players in double figures, led by Gilberto Benz-Puente, who poured in 22 points.
