GREENCASTLE - Greencastle-Antrim got off to a good start, ran into some difficulty in the second and third quarters, then righted the ship in the fourth period to defeat Big Spring, 59-48, in a Mid Penn Colonial Division boys contest Tuesday night.

The Blue Devils (9-2, 5-1 MPC) led 14-3 after one period, then the Bulldogs responded with a 14-6 second stanza to trail by only three, 20-17, at halftime.

Greencastle fell behind 37-35 after three quarters, then pulled away at the end with a 24-11 fourth period.

Joel Zola led the Blue Devils with 18 points, followed by Brandon Puffenbarger with 14 points, Danny Stepler with 11 and Eli Englehart with nine. It was Greencastle's sixth win in a row.

G-A coach Gary Martin said, "We've been playing without our starting point guard (Zach Faulkner, out with an injury). Everyone else has been stepping it up. It was a total team effort tonight. I'm happy with how the kids played."
