Starting freshman point guard Montrel Morgan put up his second straight 21-point game to lead New Hope to a 58-53 overtime victory in the championship game of the Pine Grove Christmas Tournament against Mahanoy Area on Friday night.

Brandon Murray sent the game into overtime with a 2-point bucket with 0.8 seconds left in regulation after the Mighty Ants battled back from a 39-33 third-quarter deficit. The teams were tied at 47-47 the end of the fourth and also were even at halftime, 22-22.

Morgan netted one 3-pointer and shot 8-of-12 at the line. Teammate Ishmael Brown added 14 points for the Mighty Ants, who improved to 6-2 for the season.

Dylan Mahmod led the Golden Bears with 14 points.

Central York 70, West Chester Rustin 60: The Panthers used 22-of-28 shooting at the line to rally from a 44-35 halftime deficit.

Charlie Gingrich and Sam Saxton combined for 11 foul shots in the fourth quarter alone as part of Central York's late push, when the Panthers outscored the Golden Knights 25-5.

Saxton led the Panthers with 12 points and Gingrich added 10, with both players sinking all of their free-throw attempts. Darian Hampton added 10 points in the win, including 4-of-4 shooting at the line.

Dallastown 62, Spring Grove 34: Mike Gibbs sank four 3-pointers for a team-high 12 points as the Wildcats took a 20-4 lead after one quarter and rolled past the Rockets.

Ethan Sutton added 11 points and Andrew Henry posted 10 for the Wildcats, who beat the Rockets for the second time this season after topping Spring Grove in a YAIAA Division I game.

Spring Grove, which lost its 33rd game in a row since the 2010-11 season, was paced by six points each from Nick Spangler and Tyler Sheffer.

Donegal won the championship, 46-43, against Ephrata.

Cedar Cliff 58, Susquehannock 46: The Warriors saw a 28-25 halftime lead slip away as the Colts rebounded with a fourth-quarter charge to win the championship.

Tyler Hoagland scored 10 of his 12 points in the final quarter, when the visitors outscored the Warriors 22-2. Quentin Gause helped the Colts with 18 points, including one 3-pointer.

Dan Ferraro led all scorers with 19 points for Susquehannock, and Tyler Brooks chipped in 11 points in the loss.
