CO-PLAYERS OF THE YEAR
Zack Smith, WR/DB/P, Sr., West York: A do-it-all playmaker, Smith excelled most at receiver. There, he set single-season program records in receptions (64), receiving yards (1,129) and added 15 touchdown grabs. He had a season-high 173 receiving yards and three scores during a District 3 Class AAA first-round playoff win vs. Northeastern.
On defense, Smith yanked down four interceptions. He also was a first-team choice at punter (36 yards-per-punt average) and returned kicks and punts.
Daniel Adams, RB, Sr., Northeastern: A steady workhorse with big-play potential, Adams led the division with 1,506 rushing yards and 18 rushing touchdowns. He ran for at least 180 yards four times, including a 186-yard, three touchdown performance during a 38-21 win vs. Dover.
On defense, Adams added 71 tackles, an interception and eight pass deflections from his spot in the defensive backfield.
Brandon Kinneman, QB, Sr., West York: A strong runner and razor-sharp game manager, Kinneman racked up 1,628 passing yards and 19 touchdowns while completing 52.5 percent of his throws. He also
Brock Snellbaker, RB, Sr., West York: The senior picked up tough yards between the tackles, leading the Bulldogs with 970 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns. He also chipped in 221 receiving yards.
Isaiah Green, RB, So., Dover: Just a sophomore, the physical fullback pounded out 691 yards and five touchdowns while averaging 6 yards per carry. He went for a season-high 133 yards in a win over Kennard-Dale.
Brody Kern, C, Sr., West York: A four-year starter, the 6-foot-2, 275-pound Delaware recruit was the centerpiece of the Bulldogs' bulldozing offensive line. West York averaged 223.4 rushing yards per game.
Janssen Nelson, G, Sr., West York: Another of the Bulldogs' five senior offensive lineman who shined during the postseason. That's when West York's front was at its best, pounding out 365 rushing yards in a semifinal win over Susquehanna Township.
Shane Hershey, G, Sr., Northeastern: The 6-foot-0, 215-pound senior was an anchor along the Bobcats offensive line. He also pitched in 59 tackles and two sacks on defense.
Adam Resh, T, Sr., West York: Another captain for West York, the 5-foot-10, 210-pound senior provided plenty of push from his tackle position.
Jason Bellinger, T, Jr., Kennard-Dale: At 6-foot-3 and 255 pounds, the junior was a tough leader along the Rams' offensive front.
Sam P. Miller, TE, Jr., Susquehannock: The junior's best game came during a 27-18 win over Kennard-Dale, when he hauled in four catches for 55 yards. He had 11 grabs for 153 yards on the season.
Steven Nalls, WR, Jr., Susquehannock: Nalls was among the division leaders in receptions (39) and receiving yards (501). He had 100 receiving yards and two touchdown catches during a win over Kennard-Dale.
Zach Moyer, WR, Sr., Northeastern: Moyer battled through injuries to post a team-best 20 receptions for 326 yards and four touchdowns.
Chris Markel, K, Sr., West York: The senior converted 54 extra points and five field goals, including a 35-yarder with 10 seconds to play to complete a miracle comeback against Dallastown.
Connor Daugherty, DT, Sr., West York: The 6-foot-1, 260-pound senior contributed 44 tackles and three sacks on the season for a rock-solid Bulldogs defense.
Derrick Stahl, DT, Sr., Northeastern: Stahl had a team-high seven sacks, including two during an opening-night win over York Catholic. He also pitched in 71 tackles.
Jason Bellinger, DT, Jr., Kennard-Dale: A two-way all-star, Bellinger was a one-man wrecking crew during a late-season loss to Susquehannock. In that game, he made 10 tackles and tallied five of his team-best six sacks on the season.
Marc O'Brien, DE, Jr., New Oxford: The junior helped lead an improving Colonials side on defense, where he managed 6.5 sacks and 52 tackles.
Dan Bisking, DE, Jr., Dover: The 6-foot, 190-pound junior had 39 tackles and four sacks. He notched two of those sacks and caused a fumble during a blowout win over Susquehannock.
Justin McLee, DE, Sr., Susquehannock: The senior created his share of big plays on defense, notching four sacks, four caused fumbles and three fumble recoveries.
Chris Curry, LB, Sr., Northeastern: The ball-hawking senior ran down 103 tackles, including 69 solo stops. He also had a sack and a fumble caused, both coming during a win over Kennard-Dale in his team's regular-season finale.
Anthony Franklin, LB, Sr., West York: The senior turned in a monster season, wrangling a team-best 116 tackles, three sacks and two interceptions. He had 16 tackles and two sacks during a 35-14 win over Northeastern on Oct. 26.
Zach Moyer, LB, Sr., Northeastern: Moyer finished second on the Bobcats with 86 tackles. He also added two interceptions, both in a Week 1 win against York Catholic.
Brock Snellbaker, LB, Sr., West York: Snellbaker had a nose for the football; he snagged a team-high seven interceptions, including a pick-six during a quarterfinal playoff win over Spring Grove.
Curtis Harman, DB, Sr., Dover: One of the senior leaders of a young Eagles team, Harman tallied 43 tackles, two interceptions and two pass deflections.
Dan Hare, DB, Sr., Kennard-Dale: Hare excelled at the safety position, where he led the Rams in both tackles (96) and interceptions (3).
Joe Beckhardt, DB, Sr., Northeastern: The speedy, 5-foot-8 senior intercepted three passes and added four pass deflections. He also contributed 36 tackles for the playoff-bound Bobcats.
Dan Hare, Spec., Sr. Kennard-Dale: The senior was a constant threat in the return game, where accounted for five return touchdowns (three punt, two kickoff).
COACH OF THE YEAR
Ron Miller, West York: The Bulldogs entered the season laden with potential, and they did not disappoint. Led by a strong, 24-member senior class, West York won its first 13 games en route to an appearance in the District 3 Class AAA title game. The Bulldogs also earned a share of their sixth straight YAIAA Division II title under Miller.
