The William Penn boys' basketball team shut down host Harrisburg in the third quarter to turn an 11-point halftime deficit into a 67-60 non-league win Saturday night.

Senior forward Ramel Stephens scored a team-high 17 points, Tavon Parker had 11, and Derek Wilson and Stephen Dickson each scored 10 to fuel the Bearcats' second-half barrage.

The William Penn comeback came despite Jahaad Proctor's best efforts for Harrisburg. Proctor scored a game-high 19 points and hit five 3-pointers.

Berks Catholic 52, York Catholic 45: Ten of the Irish's 15 field goals were 3-pointers, but York Catholic lost on the road in non-conference play.

Alex Williams keyed the Irish's 3-point shooting, hitting all six of his attempts from beyond the arc. Joseph Rost added two 3s, and James Dougherty had another on his way to a 10-point day.

Chris Warren led Berks Catholic with 18 points.

Cumberland Valley 59, Central York 34: Matt Tamanosky scored 17 points as the Eagles defeated the visiting Panthers.

Teammates Tanner Kirkpatrick and Trevor Maganski also scored double-digit points as Cumberland Valley overcame a slow first quarter and came away with the victory.

Central York's Darian Hampton led all Panthers with nine points in the loss.

Eastern York 71, Columbia 54: The Golden Knights took a halftime lead and pulled away in the fourth quarter to defeat the visiting Crimson Tide.

Eastern's leading scorer was Broguen Nicholas, whose 16 points came on seven field goals. Teammates Christian Buser, Dalton Reichard and Cody Bollinger also scored in the double-digits.

Columbia's Daeshawn McIlwain scored 14 in the loss.

Domminique Salisbury scored a game-high 15 points for New Hope, and Montrel Morgan added 10, including the game's lone 3-pointer. All nine of the Ants who played scored at least a field goal.

New Hope held Mastery Charter to five first-half points.
