William Penn clinched the YAIAA Division I title in boys' basketball Monday night with a 79-47 win at Spring Grove.

Jevaughn Murphy led William Penn with 22 points, including half of his team's 3-pointers, helping the Bearcats (18-3, 13-1) to a 51-18 advantage by halftime. Ryan Matthews, who had the other two 3s, finished with 16 points. Kelvin Parker added 11.

Spring Grove was paced by 10 points each from Bryce Harbold and Mike Adams.

McGlynn scored nine of his 24 in the first quarter, as the Wildcats (10-10, 8-6) jumped out to a 22-5 lead. Dallastown also hit four of its six 3-pointers in the first quarter.

Central (13-7, 10-4) rallied behind three 14-point scorers in Jalil Ford, Ricky Mosley and Tremaine Bowman. However, the Wildcats also got 14 points from Ford Reinalda to hold on for the win.

Seth Warren and Zach Shaffer combined for 44 of the Eagles' 71 points while holding the Bobcats to only 33 points in the first three quarters.
