COLONIAL PARK -- After a season-opening loss to Cumberland Valley on Tuesday, the Chambersburg girls volleyball team bounced back nicely on Thursday night against Central Dauphin.

The Trojans (1-1, 1-1 MPC) overcame a shaky start to knock off the Rams 3-1 in a Mid Penn Commonwealth Division match.

Central Dauphin won the first set 25-20 before the Trojans responded.

"We didn't play real well the first game. We really looked timid, like we were afraid to lose," Chambersburg coach Ty Frelin said. "We really started hitting the ball after that and Morgan (Lehman) got in a zone."

Lehman tallied 17 kills, four blocks and 12 digs, pacing the Trojans to wins of 25-17, 25-22 and 25-12.

Freshman Aryn Rebok passed out 32 assists and served 21 points, Megan Eby dug up 15 balls and Brianne Rice filled out the stat sheet -- six kills, three blocks, 13 digs, 13 points and three aces.

"We hit the ball better and harder as the night progressed and in the fourth game we played very well. We did some nice things," Frelin said. "It was a step in the right direction, another step forward."
