With 18 seconds to go in Friday's game at Sheppard-Myers Athletic Field, Hanover fans got a little excitement.

A fan ran, sans clothing, out onto the field and back off again to the delight of the crowd.

However, it was little respite from what was happening on the field.

Big Spring (1-1) used five interceptions to roll to a 41-0 victory over Hanover (1-1).

On Hanover's second possession, Josh Livelsberger threw a pass that was picked off by Austin Coyle. Coyle took the ball to the Nighthawk 24.

Two plays later, Luke Etter found Garrett Christlieb for a 19-yard touchdown with 2:16 left in the first quarter.

A little more than a minute later, after another interception, Etter hit Cory Cassell for a 17-yard touchdown and 14-0 lead on the first play of the drive.

"We're a young team," Hanover head coach Jason Potts said. "We don't have a lot of football experience. We have to go through the growing pains."

Etter finished the game 6-for-12 for 91 yards and two touchdowns. He also had 17 yards rushing and one score on the ground.

Hanover, meanwhile, struggled to duplicate the same success it had on its opening drive. The closest it got to the end zone was the Big Spring 30. An interception by Jake Goodfellow would set up another score for Big Spring before the end of the half.

"We threw three picks," Potts said. "And that gave them great field position."

Starting on the Hanover 16, the Bulldogs scored in three plays as Etter rushed for a 4-yard score, pushing the lead to 28-0 at the break.

Tyler Baum returned a punt 58 yards in the third quarter, and Colby Whitten scored on a 2-yard run in the fourth for the Bulldogs.

Livelsberger ended the game with 115 rushing yards on 18 carries, but he was 1-for-11 passing for 11 yards and four interceptions.

He also had a long touchdown run called back because of an illegal shift penalty.
