Brian Brown tossed another gem, throwing a no-hitter to lead the Coatesville High School baseball team to a hard-fought 1-0 victory over visiting Oxford on Wednesday night in a Ches-Mont League contest.
Brown, who will play for North Carolina State next year, struck out 11 and allowed only two walks in seven innings of work. It was his second no-hitter of the season, as he also did it in the team's season opener.
Coatesville (5-4 league) got its lone run of the game in the bottom of the third inning on an RBI fielders choice by Brady Carras, who also doubled in the contest.
That was all the run-support Brown would need.
Oxford (3-7) got a great pitching effort of its own from Joey Boggs, who suffered a tough loss on the mound despite pitching a terrific game, as he allowed just three hits and no walks in six innings of work.

W.C. Henderson 5, Kennett 2: Dave Reitman had a solid game as West Chester Henderson (6-4, 6-4) earned the Ches-Mont victory.
Reitman pitched six innings and yielded seven hits and two walks while striking out eight. He also doubled.
Kevin Miller had two hits and scored a run, while Tyler McCabe had two hits, two RBIs and a run scored.
Joe Zirolli and Joe Pannell both had two hits for Kennett (4-7 league).

Ryan McCole was 2-for-3 with a run scored, and Marc Gueriera went 2-for-3.

Downingtown East 8, W.C. Henderson 7 (OT): Nicole Barretta scored the game-winning goal a little over two minutes into overtime to lift the Cougars (4-1 league, 7-2 overall) to the thrilling Ches-Mont League victory.
Barretta scored a game-high four goals, and also added two assists for Downingtown East, which forced a three-tie for second place in the league.
Caroline Ambrogi added two goals, and also had a key ground ball pickup in the team's defensive end in overtime that led to the winning goal.
Haleigh Wurzel played terrific in goal with seven saves.
West Chester Henderson (4-1) was led by Katie O'Donnell, who scored four goals. The Warriors trailed 7-5 before back-to-back goals from O'Donnell tied the game, the last one coming with 6:44 left.
