West Chester Rustin overcame a seven-run deficit and handed visiting Great Valley its first Ches-Mont League baseball loss with a 14-11 decision on Thursday.

The Golden Knights (1-2, 1-2) trailed 10-3 going into the bottom of the fourth.

That's when Andrew Coleman's grand slam highlighted a nine-run outburst.

Coleman also turned in a strong effort in relief to gain the win.

Mark Osis went 4-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs.

Jack Nonnemacher rapped out three hits to lead Great Valley (4-1 league).

The Red Devils loaded the bases on a walk, an Eric Ligda single and a Brent Rice single. The runs scored on Kennett miscues.

Ligda also hit a solo home run and scored twice. John D'Aquanno had two hits, scored a run and gained the win in relief of Rice.

Avon Grove's Mike Burke and Riley Mudgett rallied to post a thrilling 5-7, 7-6 (10-8) and 6-3 victory.

The Red Devils also got a strong performance from No. 1 singles player Billy Rocker, who has lost only once so far this season.
