Dallas Ely and Kendall Benovy led five players in double figures as the West Chester University women's basketball team downed visiting Shepherd, 96-68, in the Carol Eckman Classic on Friday night.
Benovy scored 16 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, while Ely netted 16 points.
Downingtown West graduate Brittany Sicinski posted 15 points, Chikisha Steele-Hook 14 points and 11 rebounds, and Serifat Junaid 10 points for West Chester (1-1).
Shepherd fell to 0-2.
The 96 points were the most in a game by the Golden Rams since defeating Clarion, 102-68, on Dec. 3, 2011.
West Chester upped its winning streak in the Eckman Classic to 13. The Rams have not lost in the tournament since 2006.
