The Daily Record/Sunday News has unveiled its Division B boys' track and field all-stars.

ATHLETE OF THE YEAR

Mike Stoner, Dover: The senior was instrumental in helping Dover bring home three medals from the District 3 Class AAA championships this spring and was directly involved in capturing two of those medals.

Stoner placed fifth in the long jump, with a state qualifying leap of 21-11, and he ran the anchor leg of the 1,600 relay, which finished third in the district meet with a state-qualifying time of 3:22.55.

Ranked 23rd in the long jump heading into the state championships, Stoner medaled in the event, finishing seventh after posting his best jump of the year (22-10 1/4) on his first jump of the day.

His relay team, which finished first at the league meet, didn't fair as well at the state meet, but earlier in the season the team broke the event record at the Dallastown Invitational in the final race of the night, finishing with a time of 3:24.4 to break South Western's 2007 mark of 3:25.3 by almost a full second.

The relay team claimed the bronze medal at the District 3 Class AAA championships, and Pletcher finished 22nd overall in the 300 hurdles at the district meet.
Dakota Snell, Eastern York: He collected a silver medal at the YAIAA championships in the shot put with a throw of 46-1. The senior hit his best mark of the season at the Shippensburg University Invitational with a throw of 46-9.

The senior also excelled in the pole vault, finishing third at the league meet and tied for ninth at the district meet.
