Simon, the No. 2 seed, rolled through his first three matches after a first-round bye, losing just eight games. He put his toughness on display in the final on April 27 at South Western, rallying from a set and 3-1 down to defeat Biglerville's Mike Rice in the final, 4-6, 7-6 (7-0), 6-1.

SINGLES
--- James Bishoff, York Catholic: Bishoff, York Catholic's No. 3 player as a freshman, took over the top spot as a sophomore and promptly led the Fighting Irish to the Division II championship, posting a 7-1 record in league play. His comeback three-set victory from a first-set loss over Biglerville's Jordan Rodgers helped the Irish prevail 4-3 in the match that decided the title.
--- Mike Rice, Biglerville: The Canners' sophomore turned some heads in his first season as a varsity starter with a 7-1 league record in the No. 2 spot, helping Biglerville to a second-place finish. Rice added to his credentials by reaching the finals of the YAIAA Class AA singles tournament as the No. 7 seed, defeating fifth-seeded Ben Nace 7-6 (7-3), 7-6 (7-4).
--- Ben Nace, Delone Catholic: The sophomore led his team to a share of second place in Division II with his play at the No. 1 spot. He went on to upset top seed James Bishoff, 6-1, 6-1, in the quarterfinals of the Class AA tournament on the way to a third-place finish and a District 3 berth.
--- Javier Perez, Northeastern: The Bobcat senior capped his scholastic career with a perfect 8-0 record against Division II opponents, leading Northeastern to a 5-3 league record. Perez led Northeastern to a 4-3 win over York Suburban on April 18 by defeating Nick Simon, 6-4, 3-6, 6-2, at No. 1 singles, then teaming with Brady Hess for the decisive point at No. 1 doubles.
