James Buchanan's final Colonial Division match was a satisfying victory over Trinity ... JB coach Terri Beegle said, "It was nice to beat Trinity. It's something that doesn't happen all the time." ... The match was tightly contested, as 4 matches went into 3 sets ... At No. 4 singles, Casey Hedrick shook off a first-set loss and rebounded to win 6-4, 6-1 ... Jason Cornell at No. 3 singles also win (6-3, 7-5) ... In doubles, Ryan Lum and Cornell won the first set in a tiebreaker and then promptly lost 6-0; but the JB duo responded with a 6-3 third-set victory ... Seth Gilbert and Hedrick finished off the match in 3 sets at No. 2 doubles, winning 6-4, 4-6, 6-0 ... Beegle said, "The doubles did a great job pulling it out. It was a little hairy there in the second set when we lost 6-0, but they came back and played well and Seth and Casey dominated the third set for the victory." ... The Rockets are 3-6, 2-5 MPC.
