GLEN ROCK -- Chambersburg took a pair of victories from Susquehannock in a non-league swim meet on Tuesday. The boys won, 105-64, and the girls took a 120-50 victory.

The Chambersburg boys (4-4) got wins from Matt Rines (200 freestyle, 100 butterfly), Jordan Metz (200 individual medley, 500 freestyle), Mike Gyurisin (50 freestyle), Bryton Zook (100 breaststroke) and two of the three relay teams (200 medley, 400 freestyle).

Trojan coach Mark Shoap said, "The meet went really well. We had some outstanding swims. Jordan and Bryton had good meets with their finishes. Bryton had his best time in the breaststroke. Chase Wennick had personal bests in the 100 fly and 100 back. Matt Rines looked really good in the 200 freestyle and the fly. Those were really good times for him.

"I think some of the guys are seeing the end of the tunnel. The Mid Penns are coming up really fast. We have a couple more meets to qualify."

For the Trojan girls (5-3), Kelly Hamilton (200 freestyle, 100 butterfly), Hannah Parson (200 individual medley), Autumn Bowers (100 freestyle), Olivia Beckner (500 freestyle) and Hailey Parson (100 breaststroke) captured wins, as did all three relay teams.

Chambersburg girls coach Donnie Miller said, "Kelly Hamilton had a good meet. Olivia Beckner had a season-best time in the 100 backstroke.

"We're getting excited for Mid Penns. We have one more week of competition with three duals next week."
