Mercersburg Academy's boys defeated Fork Union 112-74, while the Blue Storm girls handed Notre Dame, Va. its first loss, 128-55 ... For the boys, Nick Thompson won the 50 freestyle (21.74) and 100 free (48.23) and led off the 200 free relay, along with Sammy Schadt, Linc Kupke and Tareq Kaaki, whose time of 1:27.75 qualified it for All-American consideration ... Schadt (200 free, 1:47.43), Collin Greene (500 free, 4:54.85) and Tom Zhang (100 breaststroke, 1:02.95) also won events ... Blue Storm coach Pete Williams said, "The team is moving in the right direction. We have one more heavy week of practice before we enter the championship phase of the season."
