However, his effort produced the goal which gave the Canners a 1-0 lead. His rush toward the goal produced a left-footed shot which glanced off a Lewisburg defender and into the goal.
Weigle finished the season with four goals and three assists.
Leeann Black - Bermudian field hockey: In the YAIAA Class AA Senior All-Star Game at Central York High School on Wednesday, Black scored two goals, including the game-winner with 1:34 remaining in regulation.
Black, who scored 102 goals in her scholastic career, also scored the game's first goal as her Dark Blue team edged the Light Blue, 4-3.
Though the goals don't count in the official total, Black's goals were her 39th and 40th of the season.
Dustin Reed - Delone Catholic football: In the opening round of the District 3 Class AA Tournament, York Suburban had no answer for the Squire senior.
Reed rushed for 176 yards, the vast majority of which came in the opening half, and scored three touchdowns as Delone posted a 38-0 triumph for only its second shutout in its District 3 playoff history.
The performance boosted Reed, who averages 10.2 yards per carry, over the 1,000-yard rushing mark for the season.

However, Wagner produced the highlight for the Canner faithful when he returned a kickoff 88 yards for a touchdown during the third period.
It was another way for Wagner to use his speed. The 2007 All-Area receiver posted 29 pass receptions for the second straight season and scored 10 touchdowns.
